Assured Guaranty is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. provides credit protection products and asset management services. In the Insurance segment, Co. applies its credit underwriting judgment, risk management skills and capital markets experience primarily to provide financial guaranty insurance that protects holders of debt instruments and other monetary obligations from defaults in scheduled payments. In the Asset Management segment, Co. provides asset management services through Assured Investment Management LLC and its investment management affiliates.
