The primary business of Co. and its subsidiary, Camden National Bank (the Bank), is to accept deposits from, and to extend loans to, consumer, institutional, municipal, non-profit and commercial customers. The Bank, through Camden National Wealth Management, provides a range of fiduciary and asset management services to both individual and institutional clients, and through Camden Financial Consultants, provides brokerage and insurance and its financial offerings include college, retirement, and estate planning, mutual funds, strategic asset management accounts, and variable and fixed annuities. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
and then calculating their respective market caps. Comparing the share price of CAC versus a peer is one thing; comparing
CAC market cap versus a peer is a completely different story.
