CBRE Group is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is a commercial real estate services and investment firm. Co. focuses on providing services to real estate investors and occupiers. Co. has three segments: Advisory Services, which provides a range of services globally, including property leasing, property sales, mortgage services, property management and valuation; Global Workplace Solutions, which provides a suite of integrated, contractually based outsourcing services to occupiers of real estate, including facilities management and project management; and Real Estate Investments, which includes investment management services provided globally, and development services. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing

interested in comparing CBRE's market cap history versus its peers.
Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
