| iShares Core U.S. Credit Bond ETF (the “Fund”) (formerly the iShares Credit Bond ETF) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of U.S. dollar-denominated, investment-grade corporate, sovereign, supranational, local authority and non-U.S. agency bonds, as represented by the Barclays U.S. Credit Bond Index (the “Index”). The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index. As of Feb 28 2015, the Fund's total assets were $1,165,142,235 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $1,152,129,380. We show 109 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our CRED shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute CRED market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing CRED market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing CRED's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies, and then calculating their respective market caps. Comparing the share price of CRED versus a peer is one thing; comparing CRED market cap versus a peer is a completely different story.
