Calavo Growers is engaged in marketing and distributing avocados, prepared avocado products, and other perishable foods which allows it to deliver an array of fresh and prepared food products. Co. sorts, packs, and/or ripens avocados, tomatoes and/or Hawaiian grown papayas; processes and packages guacamole and salsa; and creates, processes and packages a portfolio of fresh foods. Co. distributes its products both domestically and internationally. Co. has two business segments: Grown, which consists of fresh avocados, tomatoes and papayas; and Prepared, which comprises all other products including fresh-cut fruits and vegetables, ready-to-eat sandwiches, wraps, salads and snacks.
