East West Bancorp is a bank holding company. Through its subsidiary, East West Bank (the Bank), Co. provides a range of banking services to individuals and businesses. Co. organizes its operations into two operating segments: Consumer and Business Banking; and Commercial Banking. The Consumer and Business Banking segment primarily provides financial products and services to consumer and commercial customers through Co.'s domestic branch network. The Commercial Banking segment primarily generates commercial loans and deposits. Commercial loan products include commercial real estate lending, construction finance, working capital lines of credit, trade finance, and letters of credit.
