| The iShares MSCI United Kingdom ETF (the “Fund”) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of United Kingdom equities, as represented by the MSCI United Kingdom Index (the “Index”). The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index. Due to the use of representative sampling, the Fund may or may not hold all of the securities that are included in the Index. As of Aug 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $3,233,890,100 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $3,181,810,810. We show 141 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our EWU shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute EWU market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing EWU market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing EWU's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much.
