| SPDR S&P Emerging Markets Small Cap is an open-end investment management company. The SPDR S&P Emerging Markets Small Cap ETF (the “Fund”) seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index that tracks the small capitalization segment of global emerging market countries. In seeking this objective, the Fund uses a sampling strategy. As of Sept 30 2015, the Fund's total assets and investment portfolio totaled $407,089,941 and $404,337,301, respectively. We show 68 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our EWX shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute EWX market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing EWX market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing EWX's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much.
