The iShares MSCI Brazil Small-Cap ETF (the “Fund”) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of small-capitalization Brazilian equities, as represented by the MSCI Brazil Small Cap Index (the “Index”). The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index. Due to the use of representative sampling, the Fund may or may not hold all of the securities that are included in the Index.. As of Aug 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $30,986,998 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $26,959,090. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing
share price, and the resulting changing EWZS market cap history over the course of time is important for investors
interested in comparing EWZS's market cap history versus its peers.
Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
and then calculating their respective market caps. Comparing the share price of EWZS versus a peer is one thing; comparing
EWZS market cap versus a peer is a completely different story.
