Flagstar Bancorp is a savings and loan holding company. Co.'s business is primarily conducted through its principal subsidiary, Flagstar Bank, FSB. Co. provides commercial and consumer banking services and Co. is a mortgage originator and a subservicer of mortgage loans. Co.'s segments include: Community Banking, which originates loans, provides deposits and fee-based services to consumer, business, and mortgage lending customers; Mortgage Originations, which originates and acquires one-to-four family residential mortgage loans to sell or hold on its balance sheet; and Mortgage Servicing, which services and subservices mortgage and other consumer loans for others on a fee for service basis.
