| Foundation Medicine is a molecular information company focused on treating patients with cancer. Co. sells services that are enabled by its molecular information platform to physicians and biopharmaceutical companies. Co.'s platform includes proprietary methods and algorithms for analyzing specimens across various types of cancer, and for incorporating that information into clinical care. Co.'s services provide genomic information about each patient's individual cancer obtained from that analysis, enabling physicians to optimize treatments in clinical practice and biopharmaceutical companies to develop targeted therapies and immunotherapies.
