Howard Bancorp is a bank holding company. Through its subsidiary, Howard Bank, Co. engages in a general commercial banking business, making various types of loans and accepting deposits. Co.'s lending activities consist of short to medium-term commercial lending, commercial mortgage lending for both owner occupied and investment properties, residential mortgage lending, and consumer lending, both secured and unsecured. Co. provides wire transfer services, automated teller machines (ATMs) at its branch locations, and ATM and check cards. Co. provides consumer and business deposit products that include demand, money market, savings, individual retirement accounts, and certificates of deposit.
