iShares S&P Latin America 40 Index Fund is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Standard & Poor's Latin America 40 Index (the Index). The Index consists of selected equities trading on the exchanges of four Latin American countries. The Index includes securities from major economic sectors of the Mexican and South American equity markets. Companies from Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, Peru and Chile are represented in the Index. As of Mar 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $658,932,969 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $657,728,003. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing
share price, and the resulting changing ILF market cap history over the course of time is important for investors
interested in comparing ILF's market cap history versus its peers.
Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
