iShares Core 10+ Year USD Bond ETF (the “Fund”) (formerly the iShares Core Long-Term USD Bond ETF) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of U.S. dollar-denominated bonds that are rated either investment grade or highyield with remaining maturities greater than ten years, as represented by the Barclays US Universal 10+ Year Index (the “Index”). The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index. As of Feb 28 2015, the Fund's assets totaled $276,154,914 and investment portfolio totaled $272,976,466 We show 82 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our ILTB shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute ILTB market cap on those dates.
Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing
share price, and the resulting changing ILTB market cap history over the course of time is important for investors
interested in comparing ILTB's market cap history versus its peers.
Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
