| About SPDR Series Trust - SPDR Portfolio TIPS ETF |
| SPDR Barclays Capital TIPS is an open-end investment management company. The Fund seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance the Barclays United States Government Inflation-linked Bond Index (the Index). The Index includes publicly issued, United States Treasury inflation protected securities that have at least 1 year remaining to maturity on index rebalancing date, with an issue size equal to or in excess of $500 million. As of June 30 2015, the Fund's total assets and investment porfolio totaled $657,560,469 and $650,892,426, respectively. We show 75 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our IPE shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute IPE market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing IPE market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing IPE's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies, and then calculating their respective market caps. Comparing the share price of IPE versus a peer is one thing; comparing IPE market cap versus a peer is a completely different story.
