| Itron is a technology and services company. Co. operates under the Itron brand worldwide and manages and reports under three operating segments: Device Solutions, which primarily includes hardware products used for measurement, control, or sensing that do not have communications capability embedded for use with Co.'s Itron systems; Networked Solutions, which primarily includes a combination of communicating devices, network infrastructure, and associated application software designed and sold as a solution for acquiring and transporting application-specific data; and Outcomes, which primarily includes Co.'s software and services in which it manages, organizes, analyzes, and interprets data. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing ITRI market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing ITRI's market cap history versus its peers.
