iShares Russell 3000 Growth Index Fund is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, of the growth sector of the United States equity market, as represented by the Russell 3000 Growth Index (the Index). The Index is capitalization-weighted and consists of those companies, or portion of a company, with higher price-to-book ratios and higher forecasted growth within the Russell 3000 Index. As of Mar 31 2015, the Fund's total assets and investment portfolio totaled $611,888,684 and $610,832,814, respectively. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing
share price, and the resulting changing IUSG market cap history over the course of time is important for investors
interested in comparing IUSG's market cap history versus its peers.
Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
and then calculating their respective market caps. Comparing the share price of IUSG versus a peer is one thing; comparing
