| iShares U.S. Telecommunications is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Dow Jones U.S. Select Telecommunications Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of the telecommunications sector of the United States equity market, and includes companies in the industry groups, such as fixed-line telecommunications and mobile telecommunications. As of Apr 30 2015, the Fund's total assets were $820,616,440 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $810,017,650. We show 184 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our IYZ shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute IYZ market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing IYZ market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing IYZ's market cap history versus its peers.
