Krystal Biotech is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of gene therapies to improve the lives of patients living with rare diseases. Co. has developed a gene delivery platform that enables off-the-shelf treatments for serious dermatology and respiratory diseases. Co.'s platform consists of a patented, engineered viral vector derived from the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) that it has optimized for local and repeat gene transfer to epithelial cells.
