| MetLife, Inc. is a financial services company. Co. is engaged in providing insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management for individual and institutional customers. Co. operates through six segments: Group Benefits; Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS); Asia; Latin America; Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and MetLife Holdings. Its Group Benefits segment offers life insurance, dental, group short- and long-term disability, individual disability, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, vision, and accident and health insurance, as well as prepaid legal plans and pet insurance.
