| Nuveen Taxable Municipal Income is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund's primary investment objective is to provide current income through investments in taxable municipal securities. The Fund's secondary investment objective is to seek improved portfolio value and total return. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in a portfolio of taxable municipal securities, which make up approximately 80% of its managed assets.
