| National Holdings is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. operates in two segments: brokerage and advisory services, which includes broker-dealer and investment advisory services, sale of insurance products and mortgage brokerage services provided by its subsidiaries, National Securities Corporation, National Asset Management, Inc., National Insurance Corporation, Prime Financial Services, GC Capital Corporation, Winslow, Evans & Crocker, Inc., Winslow, Evans & Crocker Insurance Agency, Inc. and Winslow Financial, Inc.; and tax and accounting services, which includes tax preparation and accounting services provided by its subsidiary, National Tax and Financial Services, Inc.
