| NRG Yield is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. owns a portfolio of contracted renewable and conventional generation and thermal infrastructure assets. Co. also owns thermal infrastructure assets with steam and chilled water capacity and electric generation capacity. These thermal infrastructure assets provide steam, hot and/or chilled water, and, in some instances, electricity to commercial businesses, universities, hospitals and governmental units in various locations. Co.'s businesses are segregated based on conventional power generation, renewable businesses which consist of solar and wind, and the thermal and chilled water business.
