Ohio Valley Banc is a financial holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co.'s primary business is engaging in community banking. Co. engages in certain non-banking activities, such as securities underwriting and dealing activities, insurance agency and underwriting activities and merchant banking/equity investment activities. The banking services provided by Co.'s subsidiary, The Ohio Valley Bank Company (the Bank), include the acceptance of deposits in checking, savings, time and money market accounts; and the making of construction and real estate loans. The Bank also provides individual retirement accounts, safe deposit boxes, wire transfers and other banking products and services.
