| Reis provides commercial real estate market information and analytical tools to real estate personnel. Co., via its Reis SE, ReisReports and Reis Portfolio CRE products, provides online access to a proprietary database of commercial real estate information and analytical tools designed to facilitate debt and equity transactions as well as ongoing asset and portfolio evaluations. Depending on the product, users have access to market trends and forecasts at metropolitan and neighborhood levels throughout the U.S. and/or building-specific information such as rents, vacancy rates, lease terms, property sales, new construction listings, and property valuation estimates. We show 36 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our REIS shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute REIS market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing REIS market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing REIS's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much.
