Rayonier is a timberland real estate investment trust with assets located in the softwood timber growing regions. Co. operates in six reportable business segments: Southern Timber, Pacific Northwest Timber, New Zealand Timber, Timber Funds, Real Estate and Trading. Co.'s timber businesses are disaggregated into Southern Timber, Pacific Northwest Timber, New Zealand Timber and Timber Funds segments. The Timber segments include all activities related to the harvesting of timber. Co.'s Real Estate segment are reported in various categories such as improved development, unimproved development and rural. Co.'s Trading segment mainly reflects log trading activities in New Zealand and Australia.
