About Invesco Exchange-Traded Fund Trust II - Shipping ETF |
The Guggenheim Shipping ETF, NYSE Arca ticker: SEA (the “Fund”) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before the Fund's fees and expenses, of an equity index called the Dow Jones Global Shipping IndexSM (the “Index”). The Index is designed to measure the performance of high-dividend paying companies in the global shipping industry. The Fund will invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stock, American Depositary Receipts (ADR), Global Depositary Receipts (GDR) and master limited partnerships. As of May 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $86,275,310 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $85,456,808. We show 1 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our SEA shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute SEA market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing SEA market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing SEA's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies, and then calculating their respective market caps. Comparing the share price of SEA versus a peer is one thing; comparing SEA market cap versus a peer is a completely different story. Furthermore, via fluctuation both in per-share price and in the number of shares outstanding (via issuance of new shares over time, the repurchase of existing shares), the market cap for a company like SEA can fluctuate over the course of history. With this page we aim to empower investors researching SEA by allowing them to research the SEA market cap history. |
