| About San Juan Basin Royalty Trust |
| The San Juan Basin Royalty Trust is an express trust created by the San Juan Basin Royalty Trust Indenture, between Southland Royalty Company (Southland) and The Fort Worth National Bank. Southland conveyed to the Trust a 75% net overriding royalty interest that burdens certain of Southland's oil and natural gas interests (the Subject Interests) in properties located in the San Juan Basin of northwestern New Mexico. Hilcorp San Juan L.P. is the operator of the majority of the Subject Interests. We show 33 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our SJT shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute SJT market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing SJT market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing SJT's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much.
