SenesTech develops and commercializes a proprietary technology for managing animal pest populations, primarily rat populations, through fertility control. Co.'s fertility control product, ContraPest, is a liquid bait containing the active ingredients 4-vinylcyclohexene diepoxide and triptolide. When consumed, ContraPest targets reproduction, limiting fertility in male and female rats beginning with the first breeding cycle following consumption. ContraPest is being marketed for use in controlling rat populations, specifically Norway and roof rats.
