Starwood Property Trust is a holding company and conducts its business primarily through its subsidiaries. Co. is a real estate investment trust. Co.'s segments include: real estate commercial and residential lending, which engages in originating, acquiring, financing and managing commercial first mortgages, non-agency residential mortgages, subordinated mortgages, mezzanine loans, and commercial mortgage-backed securities, among others; infrastructure lending, which engages in originating, acquiring, financing and managing infrastructure debt investments; and real estate property, which engages in acquiring and managing equity interests in stabilized commercial real estate properties.
