Taitron Components Incorporated distributes a variety of transistors, diodes and other discrete semiconductors, optoelectronic devices and passive components to electronic distributors, contract electronic manufacturers (CEMs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), who incorporate them into their products. In addition, it provides value-added engineering and turn-key services for its existing OEM and CEM customers and providing them with original design and manufacturing services for their multi-year turn-key projects. Its product offerings range from discrete semiconductors through small electronic devices. We show 62 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our TAIT shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute TAIT market cap on those dates.
Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing
share price, and the resulting changing TAIT market cap history over the course of time is important for investors
interested in comparing TAIT's market cap history versus its peers.
Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
