United Financial Bancorp is a financial holding company. Through its United Bank subsidiary, Co. provides financial services to individuals, families and businesses primarily in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Co. originates, purchases, and sells commercial loans, commercial real estate loans, residential and commercial construction loans, residential real estate loans collateralized by one-to-four family residences, home equity lines of credit and fixed rate loans, marine floor plan loans and other consumer loans. Co.'s deposit accounts consist of interest-bearing checking, non-interest-bearing checking, regular savings, money market savings and time deposits.
