ProShares Ultra Consumer Services ETF (the "Fund") is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks daily investment results that correspond to two times (2x) the daily performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Consumer Servicessm Index. The fund invests in securities and derivatives that ProShare Advisors believes, in combination, should have similar daily return characteristics as two times (2x) the daily return of the index. The index measures the performance of consumer spending in the services sector of the U.S. equity market. As of May 31 2013, the Fund's total assets were $24,530,230 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $22,631,737. We show 107 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our UCC shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute UCC market cap on those dates.

Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing UCC market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing UCC's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies, and then calculating their respective market caps. Comparing the share price of UCC versus a peer is one thing; comparing UCC market cap versus a peer is a completely different story. Furthermore, via fluctuation both in per-share price and in the number of shares outstanding (via issuance of new shares over time, the repurchase of existing shares), the market cap for a company like UCC can fluctuate over the course of history. With this page we aim to empower investors researching UCC by allowing them to research the UCC market cap history.
