| XL Fleet is a provider of fleet electrification solutions for commercial vehicles in North America, providing its systems for vehicle electrification (its Power Drive business) and through its energy efficiency and infrastructure solutions business, including charging stations to enable customers to plug in their electrified vehicles (its XL Grid business). Co.'s XL Grid energy efficiency and infrastructure services business is primarily project driven where it identifies efficiency measures and infrastructure enhancements that commercial and municipal customers can implement to improve efficiency and expand capacity for fleet electrification. We show 20 historical shares outstanding datapoints in our XL shares outstanding history coverage, used to compute XL market cap on those dates. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing share price, and the resulting changing XL market cap history over the course of time is important for investors interested in comparing XL's market cap history versus its peers. Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much.
