United States Brent Oil Fund issues limited partnership interests traded on the NYSE Arca, Inc. Co.'s net assets consist of investments in futures contracts for crude oil, diesel-heating oil, gasoline, natural gas and other petroleum-based fuels that are traded on the ICE Futures, the New York Mercantile Exchange, or other U.S. and foreign exchanges (together, Futures Contracts), other crude oil-related investments such as cash-settled options on Futures Contracts, forward contracts for oil, cleared swap contracts and non-exchange traded over-the-counter transactions that are based on the price of crude oil, other petroleum-based fuels, Futures Contracts and indices based on the foregoing. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing
share price, and the resulting changing BNO market cap history over the course of time is important for investors
interested in comparing BNO's market cap history versus its peers.
Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
