Through its subsidiary, Physicians Insurance Company, Co. underwrites medical professional liability coverage for physicians, their corporations, medical groups, clinics and allied healthcare providers. Medical professional liability insurance protects physicians and other health care providers against liabilities. Co. provides claims-made coverage, claims-made plus, and occurrence-based policies in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Delaware, Maryland, South Carolina and Michigan. Co.'s policies include coverage for the cost of defending claims. Claims-made policies provide coverage to the policyholder for claims reported.
