iShares Core MSCI EAFE is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI EAFE Investable Market Index (the Index). The Index is designed to measure large-, mid- and small-capitalization equity market performance and includes stocks from Europe, Australasia and the Far East. The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index. As of Jul 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $6,473,853,826 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $6,457,932,376. Understanding the changing numbers of shares outstanding, the changing
share price, and the resulting changing IEFA market cap history over the course of time is important for investors
interested in comparing IEFA's market cap history versus its peers.
Many "beginner" or "novice" investors will look at one stock trading at a price of $10 per share and another trading at
a price of $20 per share and think the latter company is worth twice as much. Of course, that is a completely meaningless comparison without also knowing how many shares outstanding there are for each of the two companies,
and then calculating their respective market caps. Comparing the share price of IEFA versus a peer is one thing; comparing
